MINT Director named Businesswoman of year

Surekha Chouhan announced as winner of the English Asian Business Awards 2015 have been compiled.

The fourth annual English Asian Business Awards presented by Lloyds Banking Group is designed to commend a wide range of professionals and businesses from the British Asian community at the forefront of their industries, which serve as an inspiration and example for others in the business world.
The Awards held on the 8th June 2015 at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, saw Surekha Chouhan crowned as the 2015 winner, among a very strong list of candidates.

In the early 90’s she parted from the family owned business and bought her first investment property. Over the years Surekha has successfully managed and increased her investment portfolio with a number of commercial and residential properties, during the down turn in UK Markets she re-focused her attention into the care sector.
Really Flexible Care (RFC) was launched in Bedfordshire during the millennium, with her Joint Business Partner John Connell, primarily to provide residential and respite care to Autistic Young People. With over six locations the business now specialises in providing Supported Living, Education, and Respite/Residential/Day Care, with in house training for the care providers. RFC continuously works with local councils and social services to provide the best care possible.
This successful business model allowed the Joint Managing Directors to focus their efforts on a new business model – Safety Deposit Box Centres. Mint Securities, started in 2013 and is now Leicesters leading centre catering for the local community helping reduce the loss associated with burglary/robbery.

As well as recognising the commercial success and accomplishments of Asian professionals and businesses in the prime of their industries, the 2015 English Asian Business Awards presented by Lloyds Banking Group raised money for The Amir Khan Foundation.
